Blimey folks - this wonderful vegetarian all you can stuff down your neck Indian buffet is absolutely unmissable if you find yourself down in sunny Brighton anytime soon.

The place is staffed by friendly Indian 'dudes' who are constantly refilling the buffet when busy.

It's just GREAT nosh - loads of great curries all piping hot in bubbling cauldrons along with rice, salads, hot pickles and desert.

And all for a fiver - or even cheaper if you go during 'happy hour' (£3.50 mon to fri 3.15 - 5.15, excl bank hols).... this is surely an offer NOBODY can refuse?

I nipped in here for a quick bite to eat recently after a meeting in nearby Portobello Road - which has managed to retain at least some of the charm it had during the jolly old punk days. Lemmy used to have a place near the Portobello Gold and was kind enough to let me crash out on the odd occasion - but it was obligatory to stay up all night with him watching footage of his beloved Luftwaffe if you did!

Anyway, Baalbak was a nice surprise.... Lebanese nosh can be fairly veggie friendly what with all that scrummy falafel and hummous, etc and they've got a couple of tables outside that catch the sunshine nicely in the afternoon so give 'em a go if you're in the area.
